red velvet, my favorite
Today we listened to General Conference. Ryan was feeling a little crazy after staying inside all day because the wind was blowing so hard here. Darn Rexburg wind.
In between sessions of conference I was looking at some blogs and seeing the cool things that they had thrifted and wished that I could find cool things thrifting. I used to find cool stuff at home, but it is much easier to find good stuff when you live in a city versus a small middle-of-nowhere college town.
So since Ryan was driving me a little bit crazy we decided to go to DI. Now, DI, like any other type of thrift store, is usually only as good as the donations from the community it receives. And obviously Rexburg is not typically somewhere that you would expect the DI to be very good.
But sometimes I will just have a feeling that I am going to get lucky. Like today. *BAM* Look at this gem...
I'm not a huge brand person, but I figured for $10, why not right? Plus I had been looking for a brown bag for a while. And it doesn't even have that thrift store smell. You know what I am talking about, right?
A few years ago Ryan wanted to go to DI and so I went with him. I was browsing the clothes not really looking for anything in particular, mostly just trying to pass the time. I found two, not just one but TWO, pairs of Seven for all mankind jeans in my size that were *brand new with tags still on* for $7 each.
What can I say? Sometimes you just get lucky
I too have been in awe at what people have found and they have done with it, I am not really a person who likes to hunt for stuff but I have been going more regularly looking for treasures...Seven's! That is amazing! Even more amazing is that they were your size!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great birthday!
