dress envy and the dreariness of winter

So... can I just say that I am so over school already? I only have 10 weeks left and then it is graduation! I am sick of all the homework, projects and tests/quizzes. I was looking for a dress to wear for graduation and I found this beautiful Betsey Johnson dress that was on sale for $75 and by the time that I went to buy it, the dress was gone! An now I am hung up on the dress that I cannot find anywhere. Every dress that I have looked at since then just does not look as good. How frustrating is that?! When do they roll out the spring lines?

I found this website the other day:
recipes for the homemade version of girl scout cookies
We haven't tried any yet but I think we are going to soon. If you make some let me know how it goes.

I think the seasonal depression/cabin fever is starting to set in.  I told Ryan the other day that we only have one more month of the brutal part of winter and then hopefully it will get better. We have been looking at a vacation to take after we both graduate which might be adding to the feeling of being over winter. We found this awesome cruise:

Fly to the ship in Honolulu and ride the current toward the archipelagos of Papeete, Moorea, Raiatea, Bora Bora (all in Tahiti) before crossing the international dateline and completing the journey down under in Sydney, Australia. Then board a plane back to Los Angeles or San Francisco.

I certainly wouldn't mind going to Bora Bora right now. Who's with me?

Anyways other than that life is not very exciting right now. I think that is one of the things I can't stand about winter. The first snow is beautiful and makes every white and pretty, but after a couple months of it I just am ready for some sunshine again.

Another interesting article I found online recently: weight loss through blogging. These people were amazing. I almost could not believe it. Ryan and I have been trying to eat better. We found these books called Eat This Not That and have become a little bit obsessed. Ryan made me oatmeal with peanut butter and bananas this morning. So good.

If you are trying to be more health conscious without eating food that tastes like cardboard I highly recommend these books.

  1. Gray and I live in Portland where the worse weather we get is like springtime in Rexburg. However we were sick of the rain and booked a cruise for March. We are just going down the Baja coast...no big around the world trip but I am looking forward to it. So trying to eat better is on the list and I love love love those books!
